agentfabray asked: [text] Hey, Pierce. I was thinking of having a study group session for everyone we watch on Saturday, for that test on Monday. A good chance to do the standard "this is our house, we're normal" etc thing for the people we interact with. I already invited Santana and Rachel, but it's cancellable. Just a thought.
[text] : Sounds good to me.

Pierce. Nice seeing you again.
Noah. Where are you staying?

Pierce sucked in a breath. Her muscles were loose and warmed up, her Sidekick and keys were nestled in her pocket, and if she waited too much longer, she would be late, and Pierce was never late.
Really, there was no reason she shouldn’t be leaving- except that she was nervous. Even as she realized it, Pierce scoffed at herself. Santana was just a teenage girl in a long list of teenagers who had tried to get into Pierce’s pants, no different.
Except Pierce knew better, didn’t she? Before she could get too deep into that thought, she was out of the house and in the neighborhood proper, heading toward the park where she had met Santana every night before her hiatus.

In Plain Sight;
Quinn gaped, the connections clicking in her mind. “That could definitely make sense. We know he wouldn’t be with us, so that would mean that another Agency would see a threat of some kind in the Berry family. So wait…” She had to sit down for this one. “Does this mean we’re protecting them from someone? Or protecting them from Hudson and his cronies?”
That did not sit well with Quinn at all.
Pierce pursed her lips, taking a few seconds to go through her options.
If their assignment was given because they were sure there was someone after Rachel/Berries, it would be a simple evac, and hell, the Berries could probably do the evac by themselves, and better than either she or Fabray could. If they didn’t know for sure that someone was after Rachel’s physical person but knew that a rival Agent was around, a surveillance assignment would make more sense (and Pierce wouldn’t be called in at all).
However, if the Berries merely had strong suspicions that their daughter’s boyfriend was an Agent unassociated with their former Agency, calling in a favor from the very top to get Fabray made sense. Then, as they got new information, the over-protective parents got Pierce, in case their daughter needed to be evacuated faster than they could call in someone better than Fabray to do it.
“I think,” Pierce said, collecting her thoughts, “that if they knew for certain that Hudson was a threat, Rachel wouldn’t be here any more. If they just thought that he might be a threat, or thought that he was more likely just trying to get close to the daughter of two former Agents, than having us here makes sense.”
Her Sidekick beeped with Santana’s textone, and Pierce smothered a smile before going on, “picture two overprotective parents with access to Agents who find out that their daughter’s boyfriend has a bit of a gap in his past. Honestly, I don’t think this is as big a deal as they’re painting it to be. We just stay here long enough to break them up, maybe stick around until graduation, then Rachel goes to New York. Finn Hudson is obviously not slated for anything but taking over her stepdad’s business, but if Agent Hudson follows her, we may be on this assignment for a long damn time.”
And here’s hoping he’s either a normal guy or just an Agent trying to get close to Rachel, because surveillance is Fabray’s specialty, but the Agency can’t afford to having a perfectly good motion specialist babysitting, Pierce thought to herself.

In Plain Sight;
Quinn resisted the urge to roll her eyes, and instead considered their options. They could confront the Boss for putting them in such a delicate situation without any more preparation, but that seemed childish and it would in the end get nothing done. They could go against what Boss said in the first place and develop their own mission, but they didn’t know the end-result wanted anyway so that would just leave them circling around their own feet aimlessly.
In the end, Quinn could only think of one thing : nothing.
“There’s really nothing we can do to change what we’ve been doing already. Perhaps we could up the security on Finn, Santana, and Rachel?” This new information was making Quinn’s petty insecurities fall to the back burner. She was here to protect first, bitch later. She could literally feel her anger gently slipping off as she started to pace, maneuvers forming in her head.
“Yes, that’s what we have to do. That, and definitely have another agent to get closer to Finn. I mean, I can only do so much and even then it’s not enough. If something happened that could hurt him and I was there, do you really think he would just sit there and let the girl almost half his height and weight protect him? No, he would try and fight like a moron. A nice moron, but still.”
She sighed.
“We need Agent Puckerman.”
Pierce scrolled through her Blackberry, giving Fabray’s pacing only a cursory glance until she mentioned Noah. “Yeah, seeing him again would be nice,” she said off-handedly, smirking to herself.
“Noah would be nice, but I think Chang would work just as well,” Pierce remarked, setting her Blackberry down and making eye contact with Fabray, “hell, I would even settle for St. James at this point. He may be smarmy, but another set of hands would make our job a hell of a lot easier.”
A second after Agent St. James came to mind, something clicked into place in Pierce’s mind. “Oh, shit. You think if Finn’s actually an Agent of some sort, he’s really here to keep an eye on the Berry family, not just Rachel?”
